| Based around a simple 1” deep pool of water, this piece resulted in some of the most visually strong installations of the thesis project. The various effects that could be achieved with the reflective qualities of water were some of my favorite. I used a small pump to recycle water through the pool. I tried working with several light sources, and the ideas became too cluttered and busy. The successful ideas that came out of this exhibit were the simplest- both relied on only one light source to work. The power of the interaction of light and water was impossible to deny. There was an innate feeling of tranquility associated with this simple pool of water. Two different versions of Falling Water were included in the Lightscapes exhibition. |
