| Waterfall was one of the pieces set up in the January session of my time in Studio 210. I suspended seven or eight pieces of angled aluminum drywall cornering from the Studio 210 Grid. I arranged the pieces to overlap so that when water was poured down them, it would have the effect of a cascading waterfall. I wanted the effect to be one of a stream of water that had come an infinite distance to collect at the viewing area. This piece required an inordinate amount of time to prepare- hanging and adjusting the aluminum was incredibly time consuming, and getting the water to fall correctly was no easier. While this piece paved the way for falling water and I took away a degree of experience from it, it was not one of my more visually satisfying pieces. |
